Meet Dr. Raisa Felts — Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapist in Washington
Many of the people I work with have spent years feeling like they were wired differently — and like that was a problem to be fixed.
It's not.
I'm Dr. Raisa Felts (she/her), a licensed therapist and neurodiversity-affirming clinician serving children, teens, and adults across Washington. I specialize in supporting people navigating ADHD, autism, trauma, identity, and the unique experience of being neurodivergent in a world that wasn't quite built for you — especially for BIPOC individuals who've had to mask even harder.
With over 15 years of experience and a research-based, intersectional approach, my job isn't to change who you are — it's to help you understand and trust yourself more deeply.
Clinical Focus
I work with neurodivergent children, teens and adults who want therapy that feels thoughtful, affirming, and grounded in understanding. Many of the people I work with are exploring identity, trying to make sense of patterns, social interactions, emotions, or looking for therapy that finally feels aligned with how their brain works.

Research and work experience:
My research started during undergrad at the California State University, San Bernardino where I worked on neuroscience research on the impacts of Prozac (fluoxetine) and how it impacts the adolescent brain. During my time I presented at conferences, such as the Society for Neuroscience and Biotechnology Symposium.
I began my work with neurodivergent individuals at the University Center of Developmental Disabilities in 2011 where I provided support for neurodivergent children and their families. I continued my interest in research by assisting in autism research and autism assessments at the University of Washington Autism Center and assisted as a camp counselor at APEX summer camp.
My passion for research and working with neurodivergent children helped shape my career where I continued my education pursuing a doctorate in psychology. During my program, I gained clinical experience working at pediatric clinics, community mental health centers, and group practices where I provided therapy for teens, adults, couples, families, and provided ADHD and autism assessments.
