Hello! I have over 15 years of experience supporting neurodiverse children, teens, and adults. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of strengths, sensory needs, and challenges that come with neurodivergence. I am especially passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities at the intersection of trauma and neurodivergence.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how often neurodivergent individuals are celebrated for their abilities yet misunderstood for their needs. Whether it’s a child or teen struggling to navigate school expectations or an adult facing burnout in a high-pressure workplace.

My work is rooted from neuroscience, clinical research, evidence-based tools, and practices tailored to empower each client on their unique goals. My approach is strength-based, person-centered, and collaborative while honoring cultural sensitivities and all identities. My goal is to ensure each client receives personalized support that honors their individuality.

    • Research and work experience:

      • My research started during undergrad at the California State University, San Bernardino where I worked on neuroscience research on the impacts of Prozac (fluoxetine) and how it impacts the adolescent brain. During my time I presented at conferences, such as the Society for Neuroscience and Biotechnology Symposium.

      • I began my work with neurodivergent individuals at the University Center of Developmental Disabilities in 2011 where I provided support for neurodivergent children and their families. I continued my interest in research by assisting in autism research at the University of Washington Autism Center and assisted as a camp counselor at APEX summer camp.

      • My passion for research and working with neurodivergent children helped shape my career where I continued my education pursuing a doctorate in psychology. During my program, I gained clinical experience working at pediatric clinics, community mental health centers, and group practices where I provided therapy for teens, adults, couples, families, and provided ADHD and autism assessments.

  • I use an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to each client’s goals. The following are my therapeutic approaches:

Therapy with me is

  • A cozy scene with a lit candle, a cup of coffee on a saucer, a notepad with a pen, and a bunch of lavender flowers on a white surface.

    Compassionate

My work as a therapist is compassionate, grounded in empathy, understanding, and genuine care for each client’s unique journey. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, heard, and valued.

  • A dried plant with leaves casting shadows on a white surface.

    Practical

I focus on giving clients evidence-based tools, strategies, and insights they can apply in their daily lives. I help bridge the gap between self-understanding and practical tools where growth can feel realistic and attainable.

  • A clear glass vase with a single branch of small white dried flowers on a white surface.

    Collaborative

We will work together with setting goals, exploring challenges, and identifying strategies that feel most meaningful to them. I view therapy as a shared process where we work together, combining my expertise with their lived experience to create lasting change.

  • A cup of coffee on a white tray with black rim, a sprig of greenery, and a small white sculpture of an animal, all on a white fabric surface, with a quilt and blanket nearby.

    Flexible

I adapt to each client’s needs, communication preferences, sensory needs, accessibility, and pace throughout the process. I adjust my approach and methods to meet people where they are, ensuring therapy feels supportive and effective.
